Christa Pardue

Head of US Business Diagnostics Alexion Pharma UK

I have spent my career driving success in healthcare operations at a facility, IDN and Corporate level while transitioning into rare disease assisting patients to shorter their diagnostic journey. While serving as the Director of Laboratory Services, I have lead multidisciplinary teams in general healthcare operations many times using my skills and training in workflow improvement. It was my success in Laboratory Stewardship that initiated my involvement in system wide stewardship solutions and applications for all diagnostic and clinical services. I have overseen ground-up build and acquisition of healthcare facilities, to include physical structure, supply chain contracting, equipment installs and verification, licensure and accreditation, staffing models and sustained operations. Today, I use these experiences to direct access to vital testing needed in the diagnostic odyssey of rare disease patients.
This experience has created my success evidenced by highly efficient regional laboratories producing rapid quality test results that supported one of the state’s top healthcare IDNs while simultaneously driving revenue in a competitive landscape with national and regional reference labs. Further evidence also demonstrated by my deployment outside of the laboratory on many occasions to assist with strategic initiatives in other systemwide departments. Gaining these insights has created many opportunities to clear pathways to testing for patients in need of a diagnosis.

My experience led me to an opportunity to align the clinical expectation of laboratory operations at a national level serving with a team of clinical liaisons that offer expert opinions on the viability of clinical products and services in the US market. Which has since transitioned to driving diagnostic excellence.
