Job title: Head, Cancer Genomics
Karen is Head of Cancer Genomics at Inivata. Karen obtained a degree in Pathology from the University of Cambridge and then moved to the University of Oxford where she gained her DPhil in molecular biology. After working at Addenbrooke’s hospital on cytogenetic testing in cancer, Karen took up a postdoc at the University of Cambridge to work on cancer genomics in solid tumours. Karen has over 10 years’ experience overseeing the development of tools for the analysis of genomic mutations and rearrangements in cancer, including technical knowledge of FISH, array hybridisation and next generation sequencing. Karen is an integral member of the team that developed the current InVision platform.
